DJ Nabs, a native of Durham, N.C. is most known for his collaborations with many high profile artists and performers and as a mix show DJ.
DJ Nabs, who has toured with top artists such as Mariah Carey, Ludacris, Ciara, Bow Wow and even the King of Pop Michael Jackson, was a personality / mixer on Hot 97.5 FM (now Hot 107.9). During his time at Hot 97.5, his “In the Lab with DJ Nabs” became a household name in Atlanta along with his weekly party showcase, “Old School Sundays” which was held at a popular hot spot now closed, club Kaya. In 1998, he produced his first commercially released mixtape / album entitled, “In the Lab with DJ Nabs: The Live Album.”
DJ Nabs has also been recognized for several awards and honors including “Respect the DJ,” an Atlanta event that showcased DJ’s of various genres from Hip Hop to Top 40 and he was featured as a notable pioneer in Southern rap music in the “VH1 Rock Docs ATL: The Untold Story of Atlanta’s Rise in the Rap Game.”
