Back in the day this week, Whitney Houston released her second album, titled “Whitney.” The 1987 album made history when it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, making Whitney Houston the first female artist to accomplish such a feat.

The album’s four singles, “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” “Didn’t We Almost Have It All,” “So Emotional,” and “Where Do Broken Hearts Go,” all peaked at number one, which made Whitney the first female artist to accomplish that feat, as well.
