Three people have died in the Metro area trying to meet up and buy or sale something from online ads.  Yesterday a man was shot and killed in front of Carrabba’s restaurant near Cumberland Mall.  The victim was trying to buy shoes he saw on Craigslist.org, but the seller took the buyers money and shot him.  This month alone two other people were killed in similar meet ups, a woman in Lithonia was shot trying to buy a cell phone and then a man is missing and presumed dead after meeting someone to sale his pick up truck.

You can learn more about the people wanting to be the next Mayor of Atlanta.  The group Better Atlanta will ask questions in a forum this week and then they will rate the candidates and release the results.  The forum is this Thursday at the Metro Atlanta Chamber at 7:30 am.  The mayoral candidates and candidate for city council will speak.


Governor Nathan Deal deadline to sign or veto bills

Today is the deadline for Governor Nathan Deal to sign or veto bills that were approved by the legislature this year.  The most controversial bill still on the governors desk expands access to cannabis oil.  This bill allows more medical conditions to be eligible for treatment including A.I.D.S., Alzheimer’s disease and Tourette’s Syndrome.
